Epoxy Primer

1. It is made of epoxy resin, new anti-rust pigment filler, anti-rust additive and polyamine adduct curing agent. It is packaged in two components, A and B. It is a primer that cures at room temperature, dries quickly and has excellent physical and mechanical properties of the coating.
2. It is suitable for steel primers in shipyards, heavy machinery plants, etc.
Anti-corrosion function: Its coating has high density, which can isolate the substrate from corrosive media such as air, moisture, and salt in the outside world, and prevent them from chemically or electrochemically reacting with the substrate, thereby preventing the substrate from rusting and corroding, and extending the service life of the substrate. For example, it is widely used in fields that are susceptible to corrosion, such as ships, bridges, and steel structures, and can effectively protect metal structures from erosion by seawater, rainwater, industrial waste gas, etc.
Anti-rust function: The anti-rust pigment in the two-component epoxy primer can inhibit the formation of rust. Even on the surface of some substrates with slight rust, applying epoxy primer after proper treatment can prevent the further development and spread of rust, and provide a good foundation for subsequent coatings.
Increase adhesion function: It can firmly adhere to the surface of the substrate, and at the same time provide an ideal adhesion foundation for the subsequent topcoat, enhancing the adhesion and stability of the entire coating system. By forming chemical bonds and physical adsorption with the substrate, as well as mutual penetration and combination with the topcoat, the multi-layer coating can be tightly combined, and it is not easy to have problems such as stratification and shedding.
Filling and leveling function: For some substrates with uneven surfaces or minor defects, two-component epoxy primer can fill these gaps and depressions to make the substrate surface smoother. This not only helps to improve the aesthetics of the coating, but also reduces stress concentration caused by surface unevenness and improves the overall performance of the coating.
Good adhesion: The polar groups (such as hydroxyl groups, ether bonds, etc.) in the molecular structure of epoxy resin can form strong chemical bonding and physical adsorption forces with the surfaces of various substrates such as metals and concrete, making them firmly attached to the substrate and not easy to fall off.
Excellent corrosion resistance: It can form a dense protective film on the surface of the substrate, effectively blocking the contact between corrosive media such as water, oxygen, and salts and the substrate, and preventing the substrate from rusting and corrosion. The salt spray resistance of two-component epoxy primers can usually reach hundreds or even thousands of hours.
High mechanical strength: The cured paint film has high hardness, flexibility and wear resistance. It can withstand a certain degree of friction, impact and deformation without damage, can adapt well to various use environments, and protect the substrate from mechanical damage.
Good chemical resistance: It has good tolerance to chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salts. When used in some chemical environments or on the surface of equipment exposed to chemicals, it can maintain stable performance and is not easily corroded and damaged by chemicals.
Good construction performance: Two-component epoxy primer can be applied by brushing, spraying, rolling and other construction methods, and can adapt to different construction conditions and requirements. It has a moderate drying speed during the construction process, and has sufficient operating time for coating and leveling. At the same time, it can quickly reach a certain strength after curing, which is convenient for subsequent construction.
Strong matching: It has good matching with a variety of topcoats, such as acrylic topcoat, polyurethane topcoat, etc. You can choose the appropriate topcoat according to different use environments and requirements to form a complete coating system to meet various protection and decoration needs.
