Epoxy Zinc-Rich Primer

1. It is composed of epoxy resin, ultrafine zinc powder, thickener, solvent, etc., and uses polyamide resin as curing agent. It is packaged in two components, A and B. It has cathodic protection, excellent anti-rust performance, good adhesion, oil resistance and water resistance. 2. It is suitable for shipbuilding, gas tanks, oil tanks, bridges, and iron towers as anti-rust primer, and can also be used as anti-rust paint for galvanized parts.
High-efficiency anti-corrosion function: With its cathodic protection and excellent shielding performance, it can provide long-term and efficient anti-corrosion protection for metals. In harsh industrial environments, marine environments and outdoor environments, it can effectively resist the corrosion of metals by salt spray, water vapor, chemical media, etc., greatly extending the service life of metal structures. For example, the application on steel structures that are susceptible to seawater corrosion, such as offshore drilling platforms and port facilities, can significantly reduce the corrosion rate and reduce maintenance and replacement costs.
Anti-rust function: The conductive network formed by zinc powder in the coating puts the steel surface in an electrochemically protected state, preventing the formation and development of rust. Even if the coating is partially damaged, the exposed steel surface is not easy to rust under the protection of zinc powder, and has good self-healing anti-rust ability.
Enhanced adhesion function: It has strong adhesion to various metal substrates, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc., and can be closely combined with the substrate to form a stable coating system. At the same time, it provides a good adhesion foundation for subsequent topcoats, ensures the adhesion and stability of the entire coating system, and makes it difficult for multi-layer coatings to have problems such as stratification and peeling.
Wear and impact resistance: The cured paint film has high hardness and flexibility, which can not only resist a certain degree of friction and wear, but also withstand mechanical shock and vibration. When used on the surface of some metal equipment and components that are susceptible to wear and impact, it can effectively protect the substrate from damage and maintain its integrity and functionality.

Adapt to a variety of construction environment functions: It can be applied by brushing, spraying, rolling and other construction methods to adapt to different construction conditions and requirements. Whether it is on-site construction of large steel structures or painting in workshops of small metal products, it can be easily operated, and it can have good curing performance and construction performance under different ambient temperature and humidity conditions.
Excellent cathodic protection performance: The coating contains a large amount of zinc powder. The electrode potential of zinc is lower than that of metals such as steel. In a corrosive environment, zinc as an anode loses electrons first and is corroded, thereby protecting cathode metals such as steel from corrosion. This cathodic protection can effectively extend the service life of metal structures.
High corrosion resistance: While forming a protective film, zinc powder can also react with oxygen and moisture in the air to generate zinc oxides and hydroxides. These products fill the pores of the coating, further improving the density and shielding properties of the coating, enhancing the barrier ability to corrosive media, and making it have excellent corrosion resistance.
Good conductivity: Due to the good conductivity of zinc powder, the two-component epoxy zinc-rich primer can form a good conductive path on the metal surface, thereby ensuring the effectiveness of the cathodic protection. At the same time, this conductivity is also conducive to the application of the coating in some special environments, such as electrostatic spraying.
Excellent adhesion: Epoxy resin has good adhesion and can be closely combined with the metal substrate, and the presence of zinc powder further improves the adhesion between the coating and the substrate. In addition, the coating will form a tough mesh structure during the curing process, making the bond between it and the substrate more solid and not easy to fall off.
Good high temperature resistance: The melting point of zinc is relatively high, which improves the high temperature resistance of the coating to a certain extent. Two-component epoxy zinc-rich primer can be used in some high temperature environments, such as surface corrosion protection of industrial furnaces, chimneys and other equipment, and can withstand high temperatures within a certain range without obvious performance changes.
